Project Scope
Conducted Tesla driving interview to understand autopilot experiences from short term to long term drivers.
3 Categories of user behaviors were defined based on the interviews and autonomous safety behavior documentations.
Organized list of all the features based on the primary needs for the driver to feel the right experience for autonomous vehicle.
Reference and matched inspiration from existing market to understand what can work and what cannot work with our design directions.
Few examples of Dashboard and Dash+ (Center Display) design outcomes.
Three design options were considered before settling on the final direction. The “Separated Displays” option was chosen, as it aligns with the design intent to help drivers focus on specific tasks more efficiently.
Steering wheel was modified from an off brand found on Amazon.
