Otto is a home robotic companion device. It is designed to be an emotive personal assistant, smart home hub as well as an advanced IP camera. It is able to connect with other smart devices within home, as well as third party smart products.

Started prototyping OTTO’s head from Coca-Cola bottle to quickly understand the form factor better and to understand the size that we need to install all the internal components. Then, it was deep dived into 3D modelling to make the prototype work with the body gears.

Because OTTO is able to express emotion through his eyes based on the situation, there was a lot of effort into creating animations that are shown on the screen on his face, as well as his physical motion based on the visual animations.
